On behalf of Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, Circular Affairs has carried out research into the possibility of processing spend coffee grounds that are released by all National governmental organizations through separate tendering based on complying to the highest sustainable and circular criteria possible. Various coffee grounds recyclers and processes have been mapped and assessed for compliance with the legal criteria (waste or not, transport, permits), preservation for the chain, quality of processing and CO2 impact.
